Bill, how's Roy been? Clearly he was out for a while, samples are likely low, but curious.

Roy started out really well, was quiet in the first couple games back after the groin pull, but has looked good the last two games.

Drat.

Seems a decent Ribiero replacement, it actually makes a lot of sense.

Not as flashy as Ribiero but Roy seems to a better rounded player and a solid 2nd line center. Also really like the young center, Cody Eakin, obtained in the Ribiero trade plus getting a good forward prospect from the 2nd round pick.

He's a great player, one of few NHL centermen capable of 70pts +...not sure why everyone in Buffalo wanted to blame him all the time, he's going to continue to play at a high level while Ott tails off as all tough guy 2nd liners do.

His attitude was poor, he was called out by Vanek for not using his line mates properly, and he had a partying problem. He also feuded with management and Ruff (not that that was unique).

On the other side, he skates well, has decent hands and is underrated defensively. And he really cleaned up the diving, too.

I wish him well, think the change will do him good, and I like the trade for us as well.

I'm as big an Ott fan as you'll find, but he's a third liner. Everyone if Buff was so happy to get Ott and he's a good teammate, but he is rough on the offensive side.
